Anyone else just finding out that Phoebe Bridgers has a record label? Saddest Factory has signed their first UK artist, jasmine.4.t, who released a new single called “Skin on Skin.” All of supergroup boygenius had a hand in its creation, from Julien Baker on guitar to Baker and Lucy Dacus producing.

Jasmine Cruikshank released a debut EP in 2019, called Worn Through. After touring with Lucy Dacus, she was motivated to send some tracks to Saddest Factory. After Dacus played Jasmine’s demos in the car, Bridgers immediately began taking steps to sign her. “Skin on Skin” is about trans love, rich with imagery and killer riffs.

“Being signed by Phoebe Bridgers is immediately going to open me up to a wider audience,” Jasmine said in a recent statement. “I take it seriously, just to be a visible trans woman role model in music, because there aren’t that many, and there should be more.”
