It’s official, Leon Bridges is going on tour and coming to Philly! The singer-songwriter announced his North American tour just a week after sharing news of his upcoming fourth album, Leon. “Leon is about the whole being greater than its parts. I wanted to bring the magic and connection that made this record to this tour so I felt it was important to pick the right rooms to play. These are listening rooms. They’re beautiful stages that truly showcase the music and allow me to get back to analog instrumentation. Plus, I’ve really missed playing guitar,” shared Bridges in an Instagram post announcing the tour. If you’ve ever been to The Met, you know it fits the bill.

Bridges released “Peaceful Place,” the first single off the forthcoming album, earlier this month. A mellow and bright track, it finds Bridges transforming to end up in a “peaceful place.” Leon is set to release on October 4, the same day his tour kicks off in Austin. Latin-instrumental band Hermanos Gutiérrez will join him on most dates, including his November 6 date in Philadelphia at The Met.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, August 23, more details here. You can find the tracklist for Leon and the music video for “Peaceful Place” below.
