Getting ‘Mean’ with Boy Harsher on the Indie Rock Hit Parade

Joining us on the Indie Rock Hit Parade is Jae Matthews and Augustus Muller of Boy Harsher. Celebrated for their modern twist on dark new wave, Boy Harsher broke through in 2014 with the song “Pain.” Over a decade later, Boy Harsher have gone through personal and professional changes, but their dedication to the dancefloor is as strong as ever on their new LP, GET MEAN.

Ahead of their headlining appearance this Saturday at Franklin Music Hall (part of Making Time Pure Halloween), Matthews and Muller discuss the ‘road movie’-like process of recording GET MEAN, reflect on the resilient nature of the material, and reminisce over early Halloween memories.
