Philly Phlashback: Nazz’s “Open My Eyes”

Here’s your back-to-school video flashback for today: the 1968 Nazz classic, “Open My Eyes.” Formed in Upper Darby in 1967, Nazz included Todd Rundgren, Stewkey, Thom Mooney, and Carson Van Osten. Rundgren and Van Osten left the band after its second album, leaving Stewkey at the helm of the Nazz’s creative control; Rundgren went on to an astounding solo career, beginning with his debut project Runt in 1970.
