The Twisted Tail to open in Headhouse Square in July
Recently, all the music-venue buzz in Philly has been about the new Bowery Presents spot at the old Spaghetti Warehouse and the incoming House Of Blues venue. But what about The Twisted Tail? According to uwishunu, the new bar/restaurant/venue will open in Headhouse Square in July, and will feature live blues and rock shows five nights a week. The Juke Joint, where the bands will play, shares the second floor with a lounge; the restaurant is a Texas-style grill so it’s a safe bet that music will have a southern vibe. OK, so it’s not exactly The Bowery Presents or the House Of Blues, but it’s still worth noting—especially if you like your blues-tinged rock with a side of grilled oysters and bourbon. —Dave Simpson
