Video: St. Vincent (at Union Transfer on Nov. 2nd) performs “Cruel” on David Letterman

St. Vincent, known for her ethereal, twining melodies and profound, powerful lyrics, (as well as her previous work with The Polyphonic Spree and Sufjan Stevens) is returning this September with a new album, Strange Mercy. Last night, she played “Cruel” on the Late Show With David Letterman with a full band, including two back-up singers. St. Vincent plays the soon-to-open new venue Union Transfer November 2; tickets to the all-ages show are $16.
