Listen to Gary Clark Jr.’s Free At Noon performance at World Cafe Live
From NPR Music:
With three self-produced albums under his belt, Gary Clark Jr. plays more than just blues: He cuts through a stunning blend of reggae, rock and soul. Clark can sing some sweet R&B, but at heart, he’s a blistering blues-rock guitarist who’s about to blow up big. In August, he released The Bright Lights EP.
Clark began playing guitar at the age of 12, and has since expanded his arsenal to the harmonica, bass and drums. He’s also the winner of multiple accolades, including the Austin Music Award for Best Blues Band in three separate years. Though still only in his 20s, Clark has shared the stage with legends like Jimmie Vaughan, Sheryl Crow, and Eric Clapton. Hear Clark’s fiery songwriting and wild guitar work in this performance from World Cafe Live in Philadelphia.
