Gods And Queens to break up, play last show at Kung Fu Necktie on March 27th

We’ve decided to stop playing as Gods And Queens.  Our last show will be March 27th at Kungfu Neck Tie here in Philadlephia, PA with Grant Hart of Husker Du.  Knowing that we’ve been covering Husker Du songs for some time, we are excited by this chance to play with a real live Husker Du member.

Ben and I (also Robin, JR, Mook, Tank, Jeff) have had a great run of being in a band together, but our inability to keep a drummer, write new songs, and the constant string of bad luck that has loomed over this band has taken it’s toll on me. We’re not going to lie, the accident really put a damper on spirits within this band.  I still love the aspect of getting to travel all over the world but I simply don’t have fun with this band anymore.  We think it’s cursed, and has a constant black cloud hanging over it’s head.

Gods And Queens performs with Grant Hart (of Husker Du) and Howling Fantods at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 27th, at Kung Fu Necktie; tickets to the 21+ show are $10.
