The US/UK rock revivalists Low Cut Connie recently stopped by the XPN2 studios, and now you can stream their rip-roaring session whenever you like. Co-led by New Jersey singer/pianist Adam Weiner and Birmingham singer/guitarist/drummer Dan Finnemore, Low Cut Connie released their debut album, Get Out The Lotion, last year. The album garnered critical acclaim from NPR, Rolling Stone and Robert Christgau, appearing on many Best of 2011 lists. In the session, the full band performs songs from Get Out The Lotion, along with a few brand new songs that will appear on their forthcoming record. XPN2’s Eric Schuman talks with Adam and Dan about the band’s formation and their attraction to early rock n’ roll.
