Key Studio Sessions Sneak Preview: Heyward Howkins

Singer-songwriter Heyward Howkins has been a fixture in the Philly music scene for the past decade, going back through a lineage of bands like Hong Kong Stingray and The Trouble With Sweeney. It seemed like, eventually, he would get around to releasing music of his own, and now that time has come to pass – his majestic solo debut The Hale and the Hearty is coming out on June 26, and it rings out with the warm intimacy of like-minded new folk acts like Bon Iver and Iron & Wine.
