Download “Maureen’s”, a new song from Strand of Oaks (playing Union Transfer next month)

Fresh off his recent Paste Magazine Presents show at a hotel by Philly International, Timothy Showalter today unveiled his first new Strand of Oaks song since 2010’s epic Pope Killdragon. “Maureen’s” comes from the album he plans to release this fall, and its mid-tempo melancholia begins to hint at the massive full band direction we saw at SXSW this spring.

Grab a free download of the song below; the next regional Oaks performance will be opening for Tallest Man on Earth at Union Transfer on July 30; he also is on the Saturday lineup of this year’s Philadelphia Folk Festival.
