Download two new songs from Philly rock vet Frank Brown (playing World Cafe Live tonight)
Frank Brown has made the rounds in the Philly rock scene since the early 90s, playing in Buzz Zeemer alongside Tommy Conwell, and fronting Flight of Mavis. This year he launched his newest project, The Frank Brown Thing, with fellow scene vets Mitch Cojacariu and John Bicer (of The Rigbees) on bass and drums respectively, and Derek Feinberg (of The Brakes and Amos Lee’s band) on lead guitar and vocals. The band is playing tonight at World Cafe Live, and will be unveiling a set of new material they’ll record at the end of this summer. To get a taste, download two demos below, and catch the show tonight. The Frank Brown Thing opens for The Malone Brothers at World Cafe Live, 3025 Walnut St., tonight at 7:30 p.m. Tickets to the all-ages show are $25.
