XPoNential Fest: J.C. Brooks and the Uptown Sound bring the funk to the Marina Stage (photos, audio, setlist)

A highlight of Friday night at this year’s XPoNential Music Festival was an electrifying performance by funky Chicago ensemble J.C. Brooks and the Uptown Sound. The charismatic frontman worked the crowd with intensity and got the Marina Stage crowd dancing inspite of the ominous storm crowds lingering around Wiggins Park.
