Work Drugs at WXPN's XPoNential Music Festival 2012 - photo by Rachel Barrish

It didn’t take Work Drugs too long to get back into the game after recovering from their great set at this year’s XPoNential Music Festival. Work Drugs are offering a song for a free download from their new album, Absolute Bearing and have a new video to add to its collection. Work Drugs are headlining Johnny Brenda’s on Friday, August 31st with City Rain (another 2012 XPoNential Festival alum) and Cold Fronts. Download “The Art Of Progress” below, and check out the ready-for-summer-pool-party-vibe video. Here’s what the band have to say about the new song:

Originally written in 1994 as a response to U.S. President Bill Clinton and Russian President Boris Yeltsin signing the Kremlin accords, which stopped the preprogrammed aiming of nuclear missiles toward each country’s targets, and also provided for the dismantling of the nuclear arsenal in Ukraine., For reasons unknown, The Art of Progress was shelved until 2012 for public release.
