Sophie Jane Darr’s Annual Summer Concert Series at World Cafe Live on August 30th

In 2007, the Darr family tragically lost their four year-old daughter, Sophie to brain cancer. They chose to start a foundation in 2010 entitled The Sophie Jane Darr Children’s Foundation whose mission was to help those families with children that are struggling with cancer or other life-threatening diseases. They hold events and fundraisers to raise money that is given to these families in need. Their next fundraiser will be a benefit concert held at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia on August 30th. Featured acts include Toy Soldiers, Desoto Jones, The Hyde,and Leroy Justice. All of the proceeds for this event will go directly to children and families in need.
