Watch Bad Braids performing in a bathtub, shot by Out of Town Films
Bad Braids is a cleverly-monikered Philly folk act fronted by singer and songwriter Megan Biscieglia and a rotating cast of friends. The group recently played a low-key show in Germantown, jointly presented by our friends at both Folkadelphia and Yvynyl, and in the process performed for local music videographers Out of Town Films. Says the Out of Town crew:
Back in early September we were invited out to enjoy a lovely night of folk, outside, on the beautiful grounds of Rigby Mansion. If you’re not familiar, Rigby Mansion is an enormous historical property located just on the outskirts of Philadelphia. A few times a month the unequivocal venue plays host to a show, showcasing the respective artists playing on a dimly lit, wrap around porch, while the audience sits on blankets in the grass, looking onward at the mansion as a backdrop to the spotlighted musician in the foreground.
The filmmakers shot each of the four acts on the lineup in various rooms throughout the house; Bad Braids “found themselves sitting and playing in a Victorian styled, claw-footed bathtub that evening, performing a song called ‘White Mane.'” Check out the video below.
