Download a free mixtape from Black Dub’s Trixie Whitley (playing MilkBoy on 11/3)
You might know Trixie Whitley as the singer of Black Dub, the soul-pop project of producer Daniel Lanois, which released its self-titled debut in 2010. A singer-songwriter with a few EPs under her belt before pairing up with Lanois, the Belgium-born Whitley has been working on her own debut LP in the time since. Fourth Corner will be released sometime in early 2013, and this week, we got a taste of the direction she’s taking her solo material with a free mixtape, downloadable from the folks at NoiseTrade. It features two songs from the forthcoming album, along with a remix and live versions of older material. Check it out in the player below, and catch Whitley live when she headlines MilkBoy on Saturday, November 3. Tickets and information on the 21+ show are available here.
