We’re hooked on the impressionistic soul of this track from Philly newcomer Daniela Romeo. The light acoustic guitar fingerpicking pattern mixes with a marching snare and Romeo’s powerful voice, as she alternates between English and Italian, juggling diction like Nelly Furtado. It moves at a midtempo clip, but the bright horn section on the chorus knocks it into the stratosphere – this is worth listening to a lot more than once.
