The Philly Local Show on WXPN is getting a revamping this new year.  Beginning Tuesday, January 8th, the local music showcase will be expanding to a three-hour broadcast from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. every week, featuring the best this city has to offer in rock, hip-hop, folk and more.  Midday host Helen Leicht will kick things off at the top of the show, followed by John Vettese taking over at the half-way mark.  One notable new feature will be the broadcast of each week’s Key Studio Session, aired at 9:30 p.m.  After premiering on the air, The Key Studio Session will be posted here on The Key the next day as a free download.  The expanded Philly Local show will be kicking off its new format with a session from Juston Stens & The Get Real Gang (pictured), recorded live in the WXPN studios last month.
