From the Archives: Folkadelphia Session: Sea of Bees
With the Folkadelphia Sessions, it has been quite thrilling to be able to share some of the recent in-studio performances that we have recorded with artists like Trixie Whitley, Daniel Bachman, and Angel Olsen. But it’s not like this is a new thing for us; Folkadelphia has been recording and airing our sessions via our weekly radio program (now on Singer-Songwriter Radio on XPN2, Sundays 3-5 PM and Tuesdays 9-11 PM) since our inception. I’m talking sessions on sessions on sessions.
So, GATHER YE ROSEBUDS WHILE YE MAY, now is the time for us to dig into our hard drives, dust off a few WAV files, and introduce you to Folkadelphia Sessions FROM THE ARCHIVES! We’ll occasionally be posting new (old) sessions for your download and streaming pleasure! Enjoy!
This first edition features Sea of Bees, the musical vehicle for Jules Ann Bee. Jules and bandmate Amber Padgett stopped by the WXPN Studio on a lovely May day in 2012 before performing at World Cafe Live that night. Sea of Bees also released an awesome album Orangefarben in 2012.
