Philly fuzz / pop band Catnaps announced on their Facebook last night that they’ll be parting ways at end of the month.  Since their 2011 debut as Why Don’t You Whisper? Catnaps (formerly known as When I Was 12) have won over the hearts of fans with their sugary, love-filled pop songs that are given a dose of grunge reality every now and then over the course of three releases.  Though they will no longer be wooing us with songs like “Alphabet Soup” or sticking it to love on “Valentimes Day” the members of Catnaps will be far from inactive in local music projects.  Hang out with them at their last show on June 19th at PhilaMOCA with Imaginary Pants (Pet Milk, currently booked for the show, have also apparently called it quits).  Tickets and information can be found here.  Revisit the history of Catnaps here and watch their video for “Novelty” below.
