Smith Westerns bum-out in the video for “Idol” (playing Union Transfer on 7/26)

Smith Westerns have released the video for “Idol,” the latest single off of their recent Soft Will LP. The VHS-style clip looks in on a color-drenched party but the indie glam / pop trio isn’t having fun with the rest of the kids, sitting instead around a card table piled with beer cans and looking pretty bummed.  Premiered on Noisey, the video is a great representation of the band’s blend of 90s and 70s influences.  Smith Westerns will be at Union Transfer on July 26th with Wampire; tickets and information can be found here.  Watch the video for “Idol” below.
