Listen to a new Atmosphere song called “Bob Seger” (playing Festival Pier on 8/10)
Fourth of July brought a present from hip-hop duo Atmosphere: a new song called “Bob Seger.” The tune dropped on July 2nd, but became available for purchase yesterday. Interestingly enough, the song comes out about a month after a Twitter exchange in which Flex Grossman said Seger’s song “Night Moves” reminded him of Atmosphere, and the duo responded “we are the bob seger of underground rap.” Whatever that means, this song is awesome.
“Most of us gettin’ lost in the night moves / the rest of us wanna watch from the front row,” Slug raps over Ant’s slowed-down funky beats. Atmosphere will be playing a co-headlining show with reggae-rock outfit Slightly Stoopid at Festival Pier on August 10th – you can find more information here. Meanwhile, check out “Bob Seger,” complete with trippy album art of the man himself.
