Today, elder statesmen of grunge Pearl Jam released its first new music in almost five years. Along with the roaring single “Mind Your Manners,” the band also announced that the Lightning Bolt LP – its first album since 2008’s Backspacer – would be released on October 15th, right around the two-night stand at the Wells Fargo Center the band announced on Monday. The new song sounds, pretty much, like Pearl Jam. Big drums, loud riffs, Eddie Vedder’s gravely baritone voice howling aggressively out of the speakers. What do you think of the new Pearl Jam? Is it great? Is it what you expected? Does it live up to the band’s legacy? Let us know.
