Watch Chill Moody’s new music video for “Chains” (playing Do Good Fest on 8/16)
West Philly rapper Chill Moody continues to work his late 2012 / early 2013 release RFM, and yesterday his recent music video for “Chains” – which premiered on MTV Jams last month – showed up on YouTube. It’s got definite Reservoir Dogs overtones, along with hints of kinkiness and lust (ie. the woman keeping him captive) and an undeniable social-commentary edge to it too as well. From Chill:
one of the most emotional songs from the RFM album. shoutout to the Redd Pen Media team for bringing my words to life. JoeLogic on the beat, this song holds a special place in our catalog. Shoutout to my homie Indy aka Little Foot for coming through to star in this video, at 3am, in the snow, I appreciate you. Enjoy.
Watch the video for “Chains” below. Chill’s next live appearance is on the very eclectic lineup of Do Good Fest, a Philabundance benefit held at Hard Rock Cafe on Aug. 16th; tickets and information can be found here.
