Unlocked: Listen to Psychic Teens’ new single “Less”
When Larry Ragone, guitarist and singer of Psychic Teens screams, “Don’t think less of me,” he sounds intimidating, even threatening. It’s as if his voice is coming from the intercom speaker in the upper-corner of the room and Ragone is the guy on the other side of the two-way mirror in front of where you sit. It’s that kind of intimidating. But Psychic Teens’ domineering edge doesn’t only come from Ragone’s rumbling vocals. Dave Cherasaro’s drumming can tear down walls and Joe DeCarolis’ bass will make your bones rattle.
That’s why we chose to highlight “Less,” on the first day of this week’s installment of Unlocked. Tomorrow we’ll review Come, the band’s sophomore album out next week on hardcore label SRA Records, and later in the week we’ll speak with the Teens about what makes this release different from their first, as well as taking a look into their obsession for vinyl records. For now, let “Less” sink in below.
