The Phantom of the Opera (1925)

As we usher in the season for spooking, scaring and haunting, PhilaMOCA presents back to back nights of classic horror films accompanied by live scoring.  On October 16th, the Mausoleum of Contemporary Arts will screen the 1925 version of The Phantom of the Opera (starring Lon Chaney) and, on the following night, 1968’s Night of the Living Dead . Each night will feature a live soundtrack performed by the Andrew Alden Ensemble, a chamber orchestra influenced by Philip Glass and Radiohead.
