Listen to Modern Baseball’s new song “Voting Early” (playing PhilaMOCA on 10/8)
Local pop / punk band Modern Baseball are back with a new song called “Voting Early.” The track will be included on an already-sold out benefit split alongside five other bands that are playing Gainesville, FL’s Fest 12 later this month. The relateably self-deprecating song packs in the golden one-liners (like “I’ll be sitting on the roof with my five best friends talking real big game on all of our shitty bands,” and “so Madison Square Garden’s our basement / and if the cops show we’ll find a replacement”) that have catapulted Modern Baseball to the top of the basement-born indie bands this year. Listen to the exclusive stream over at Property of Zack and watch their video for “The Weekend” below. Modern Baseball plays WKDU’s Tuesday Tune-Out at PhilaMOCA on October 8th and will open for The Menzingers at The Note in West Chester on November 30th; tickets and information for both shows can be found here.
