Resistor, the solo project of Philadelphian Steve Goldberg, is getting ready to release its debut LP First World Problems.  Goldberg started the synth-pop-driven effort following the dissolution of his Arch Enemies band in 2012, releasing an early take of the new LP’s title track as an introduction. Now we have “Vincent van Gogh,” a self-aware track that explores Goldberg’s desire for fame through witty lyric writing.  The song is deeper and more personal than its quirky, Brit-pop-humor-esque instrumentation makes it out to be, acting as a sort of thesis for the themes and questions of the full-length.  Stream and download “Vincent van Gogh” here and stay tuned for First World Problems, which was recorded with Jeff Zeigler.
