Pixies announce new bassist, release animated video for “Another Toe In The Ocean” (playing Electric Factory 1/24)

The Pixies have enlisted a new bassist, Paz Lenchantin, to join their 2014 world tour following the departures of original bassist Kim Deal in June and her replacement Kim Shattuck. Lenchantin has played with A Perfect Circle and Queens of the Stone Age.

Additionally, the band invites you to vicariously witness ice-cream-toting ninjas, racing ambulances, and over-sized infants through the lead character’s journey in their new video for “Another Toe In The Ocean.” The song is from their most recent offering EP-1 in September which is among the band’s first set of new material in 20 years.
