Watch a surreal montage of old home videos in Saintseneca’s “Visions” video (playing World Cafe Live on 1/15)

Columbus alt-folk four-piece Saintseneca will release their sophomore album Dark Arc on Anti- Records early next year, and teased the record today with a new music video for the song “Visions,” premiered this afternoon on Stereogum. The song matches bright chords and poppy rhythms, but with the contemplative lyrics songwriter Zac Little has become known for. Likewise, the video balances playful moments – children bopping their parents with pillows, quick cuts of startled faces timed impeccably well with the beat of the song – with more surreal and unsettling bits of footage of smoke-filled basements and disintegrating video tape.
