The World/Inferno Friendship Society release new track “This Packed Funeral” (playing Union Transfer on 12/20)

Brooklyn collective The World/Inferno Friendship Society have released a new track called “This Packed Funeral” ahead of their show at Union Transfer on Friday, December 20th.  Comprised of a couple of dozen members (though only a portion perform in each concert), the Society has just as many varied influences and interests, blending punk with cabaret-style theatrics and klezmer.  The latest single, premiered over on Brooklyn Vegan, comes from an upcoming album of the name and dips into a more Spanish sound that seems fit for a tango.  Tickets and information for this week’s all-ages show with O’Death and Ma Jolie can be found here.  Listen to “This Packed Funeral” below.
