Album Premiere: Slow Your Roll by Jake & The Good Men
We’re following up yesterday’s song premiere of “The End” with a full album premiere of Slow Your Roll by Jake & The Good Men. It’s the debut full-length from the Philadelphia band, started by Drexel student Jake Goodman as a way to bring his catalog of rocking pop songs to live audiences.
Goodman, joined by his “jam family” of Dylan Edwards, Jeremy Levick, Stefan Richter and Gabe Nathans, manages to line-up a variety of styles and influences on Slow Your Roll in a way that treats each track as a surprise around the corner. The Good Men move seamlessly from pop-driven numbers like “Stick to the Groove” and the bright Beatles-esque “Today” to rootsy tracks like the lumbering Wilco-inspired “The Spark.” Stream the full record below and visit Jake & The Good Men’s Bandcamp tomorrow, December 19th, for the official release.
