The annual Highs in the 70s Prog Rock Marathon returns this weekend, but with a twist.  Hosts Dan Reed and Biff Kennedy will begin the 12-hour special by broadcasting live from upstairs at World Cafe Live beginning at noon, and invite listeners to be a part of the live radio audience.  Watch the marathon unfold as Reed and Kennedy discuss prog bands both beloved and underrated, play tracks from the likes of Rush, King Crimson and Emerson, Lake and Palmer and wax philosophical on the legacy of the often polarizing but influential genre.  Sitting in the live audience is free but pre-registration is required here.  Check out an interview with Biff Kennedy from last year’s marathon here and watch a few prog rock videos below.
