Listen to “Empty Light” and “White Horses” by Avers (playing Boot & Saddle on 1/13, Johnny Brenda’s on 1/18)

Hailing from Richmond, VA, Avers is a psych rock outfit that will be hitting Boot & Saddle on January 13th and Johnny Brenda’s on January 18th.  With two tracks under their belt, the fivesome (whose members include The Head & The Heart drummer Tyler Williams) have already made a strong impression in their hometown.  “Empty Light” and “White Horses,” floating at two different ends of the psych-rock spectrum, are kaleidoscopic and three-dimensional, heavy with strong drums and scratchy guitar riffs but transcendental at the same time with beautiful acoustic guitar accents and echoing vocals.  Tickets and information for both shows can be found here.  Listen to the two tracks below.
