Local indie pop outfit Cheerleader piqued interest in 2013 with a handful of demos they recorded and posted on their website, getting the attention of MTV, NME and Amazing Radio. The dreamy, gently-psych songs display an affinity for sixties brit-pop siphoned through shoegaze and reflected in a shiny disco ball. Another way to describe the three songs is pure pop fun. Now with a full-band line up that includes Shorty Boy-Boy‘s Josh Pannepacker, Cheerleader will be remixing the demos for release on a limited edition CD, expected early this year. In the meantime, check out the video for “New Daze” below, filmed by Ciaran Wood.
