PREMIERE: Whiskey swiggin’ rockers TJ Kong and the Atomic Bomb brood and wail on “Don’t Come Home Pretty Woman”
Whiskey swiggin’ folk-blues rockers TJ Kong and the Atomic Bomb announced a brand new 5-track EP last week, Kong, and today we bring you the premiere of a raw new track called “Don’t Come Home Pretty Woman.”
Reminiscent of a darker version of The Animals, the song’s brooding vocals pick up and wail into full on chaos. The Tom Waits comparison is undeniable, but Kong lead singer Dan Bruskewicz has a tenacity and vigor in his voice that is all his own. The melody is so contagious, you’ll be playing this one on repeat.
Listen to “Don’t Come Home Pretty Woman” below, check out the entire EP on Bandcamp and watch a video of the band performing on the road. TJ Kong have kicked of a 20 show tour leading down to SXSW before returning to Philly for an EP release party for the new Kong at Johnny Brenda’s on April 18. Find tickets for the tour here.
