Danish electro-pop singer MØ playing Johnny Brenda’s on May 21st

Danish singer and electronica musician Karen Marie Ørsted – who performs under the name MØ – debuted on the music scene in 2012 with a handful of singles to a lot of music blog love. The dance oriented synth pop of her songs like “Pilgrim,” “Glass,” and “Waste Of Time” showed a soul side to the singer not evident in similar artists like Grimes and AlunaGeorge, to whom critics have compared her to. In 2013 she sang on Swedish producer Avicii’s song “Dear Boy,” from his hit album True, and she recently released her debut album, No Mythologies To Follow. The hotly buzzed singer is playing Johnny Brenda’s on Wednesday, May 21st. Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 21st at Noon.
