Old 97’s return with another collection of alt-country raucous rock and roll on Most Messed Up on Tuesday, April 29th. The album was recorded in Austin and features Tommy Stinson (The Replacements, Guns N’ Roses). Old 97’s are playing WXPN’s XPoNential Music Festival the weekend of July 25-27th. Tickets for WXPN members are on sale now. Go here for more information.
Below, stream Most Messed Up. Highlights include “Give It Time,” “This Is The Ballad,” “Nashville,” and “Guadalajara.” Rhett Miller and company continue to be an enduring force in alt-country and show no signs of ending that streak with this collection of classic Old 97’s songs.
