With the release of their debut album South of Nowhere less than a month away, it’s only right that Spanish Gold‘s (who are a supergroup of sorts with members from My Morning Jacket and City & Colour) first single “Out On The Street” undergoes a remix treatment courtesy of local collective Les Professionnels, just to keep things fresh and exciting. It brings to mind Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used to Know” mixed with a little ’80s pop influence (its music is taken from Rockwell’s “Somebody’s Watching Me”). Les Prof plays The Dolphin tomorrow night with Cyclist (tickets here). As far as Spanish Gold goes, we’re pretty sure you can catch them at a WXPN Free at later this year. Stay tuned for more details and jam to “Out On The Street” below.
