Listen to The Ghost in You cover John Lennon’s “Oh Yoko” on the new Wes Anderson tribute I Saved Latin!, out today
Few filmmakers have a knack for pairing music and visuals like Wes Anderson, and today a new 23-song double album pays tribute to Anderson’s soundtracks, I Saved Latin!, streaming here, features an impressive roster of artists, including Mike Watt, Kirstin Hersh, Matt Pond, PHOX and Juliana Hatfield. In the mix is Philly artist Billy Pollard, aka The Ghost in You, who contributed a rendition of John Lennon’s “Oh Yoko” (featured on the Rushmore soundtrack), and a review in NME said the “stripped-back, sweetly acoustic rendition couldn’t be more quintessentially Wes if it tried.” Listen to the cover below, and catch The Ghost In You one May 22nd at The Vault, a new mini-theater space at Vinyl Revival Records in Lansdowne; tickets and info can be found here.
