Buzzing Los Angeles duo The Bots marry garage and punk rock with touches of the blues. Made up of brothers Mikaiah Lei (lead vocals, guitar and bass), and Anaiah Lei (drums and percussion, backing vocal) the band recorded its first album together when they were just 15 and 12. Today, the duo continues to turn heads with their raw rock sound and intense musical education. Now 16 and 21, Mikaiah and Anaiah’s latest recalls the sounds of early Black Keys and The White Stripes combined with the potency of punk rock. They’re working in the studio with Damon Albarn and Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Nick Zinner. They’ve self-released several albums and have performed on high profile live music events including the Vans Warped tour, the AFROPUNK Festival tour, Coachella, SXSW and they’ll be playing Bonnaroo in June.
