Non-COMM Recap: Asgeir began the convention with a stunning opening set

Icelandic singer-songwriter Asgeir performed songs off of his sophomore effort In the Silence to kick-off this year’s Non-COMMvention.  Joined by a second guitarist who also contributed rich and carefully-placed vocal harmonies, the 21 year old played to a rapt audience that cheered when he covered Nirvana’s “Heart-Shaped Box” and quietly sung along to album single “King and Cross.”  Check out photos from the opening set below and listen back to the audio here.
