Mimicking Birds traverse musically between the indie-folk sounds of Phosphorescent, the moodier side of My Morning Jacket and the sometimes quiet intensity of Jeff Buckley. The Portland, Oregon band recently released its new album, Eons on Glacial Pace Recordings, an indie label started by Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse. The three piece, fronted by Nate Lacy, and including Aaron Hanson and Adam Trachsel, debuted in 2010.
