PREMIERE: Left & Right share “Low Expectations” from new Infinity Cat tape release
Virginia-bred, Philadelphia-based four-piece Left & Right have a new tape coming out on Infinity Cat Recordings this September, and we’ve got an early premiere of “Low Expectations” right here. Five Year Plan, the Virginia natives’ third effort, will be released in conjunction with a year-long cassette series that was curated by Diarrhea Planet’s Casey Wessbuch.
“Low Expectations” has serious Archers of Loaf vibes, balancing melodic guitar rock with a relentless and sludgy low end for a straight-out-of-the-nineties feel. Centered around Left & Right’s knack for translating the feelings of not living up to potential into interpretable lyrics, the track is one of those statements that people can rally around in a basement after a week of waiting tables.
Left & Right bring their next tour the The Pharmacy in Philadelphia on August 14th with Kal Marks – information can be found on the Facebook event page here. Check out “Low Expectations” below.
