Watch Cheerleader travel around the world in “Perfect Vision”
Breezy Philly indie pop band Cheerleader just released their newest music video for the single “Perfect Vision”. Earlier this year, the band released their self-titled debut EP, which they played in full at a phenomenal show at Boot and Saddle. They recently released “Waiting, Waiting” as a B-side to “Perfect Vision,” both off of their upcoming full length album.
In an interview with the Key’s Kate Bracaglia, the band explained that the name of the band comes from their unity, as guitarist Chris Duran explained “We’d always cheer each other on.” The camaraderie is definitely present in the video for “Perfect Vision.” The video follows the band from studios, soundchecks, shows and everything in between (including goofy glass-wearing owl). It evokes immediate nostalgia, which is somewhat helped by its old-time filters. Even more than that, it captures one of the best parts of the band, its brotherhood. it’s the small things, the laughs and hugs, that make Cheerleader’s music genuine and warm.
