Listen to A Sunny Day in Glasgow’s sweet “Almost Like Emotion (The Drop)”
Dreamy electronic pop collective A Sunny Day in Glasgow this week released another new track called “Almost Like Emotion (The Drop).” Earlier this year, the band released “Bye Bye Big Ocean (The End)”, from their newest album Sea When Absent which came out late June. They then followed it with an euphoric video accompaniment for “In Love with Useless (The Timeless Geometry in the Tradition of Passing)”.
The new song, with a somewhat shorter title, is the first track off of their newest EP NO DEATH. The EP is a limited edition five track bonus that includes remixes by Fang Island as well as new songs, like “Almost Like Emotion (The Drop)”. It was released in part as a consolation to European fans who had to wait a few days until the new album Sea When Absent came out in late July. The song is a slow, sweet meander into the lands of synths and vocals. It’s only disappointing in the aspect that there’s no bass drop (as the title would imply), but maybe this is the next closest thing.
