Local dream-folk outfit Rosu Lup have been holed away in Miner Street Recording, working on a new single that will be on the band’s upcoming debut full-length.  “Guard Your Name” was recorded with Jon Low and is the first track from the new album, expected to be released this coming winter.

Opening with an electric guitar and piano, “Guard Your Name” is a dynamic song with hushed vocals that gradually builds to orchestral proportions aided by a trumpet and strings, something we’ve come to expect from Rosu Lup.  The Folkadelphia Session they recorded last year featured a small orchestra in addition to the folk trio, after all.

The future LP will follow-up Rosu Lup’s debut EP Currents, which was released last fall, and is currently the subject of an Indiegogo campaign.  Check out behind the scenes videos and photos of the recording sessions here, and listen to “Guard Your Name” below.
