Ring in 2015 at maximum volume with Plow United at World Cafe Live at the Queen
Regional punk scene favorites Plow United just announced its New Years’ Eve plans, and of course, they involve a stage and a PA. The band will headline World Cafe Live at The Queen’s upstairs stage on December 31st along with Mikey Erg, The Headies and Goddamnit, and tickets go on sale tomorrow at the venue’s website. This is the band’s second New Years’ show since reuniting to perform at Riot Fest East in 2011; on Facebook, they wrote “We had so much fun doing New Year’s Eve with y’all in 2011 in West Chester and we can’t wait to do it again in our other sort-of home, Wilmington!”
Last year, Plow United released Marching Band, its first album in 15 years – but listening, you’d never guess it had been away for a decade and a half. Both the band’s playing and Brian McGee’s songwriting were sharp as ever, both on the anthems (“Falling, Deeply”) and the spitfire slam dance jams (“The War Is Over and Our Side Won”). Check out the Key Studio Session the band recorded here – and revisit its 2011 acoustic session here – watch video from the studio and from Riot Fest below, and get tickets to the New Years Eve gig tomorrow at noon.
