Philly Drum Project has announced its 2014 / 2015 season, expanding its musician-friendly seminars to include nine Beats, Brews, & Banter events, two OpenDrum meet-ups, a fundraising effort called ReDrum to support community center workshops and a third annual DrumPhil summer program.

Climaxing with a December clinic featuring the homecoming of Brian Frasier Moore (Justin Timberlake, Madonna), this year’s Philly Drum Project programming crew handpicked some of the city’s foremost percussionists to lead the monthly Beats, Brews, & Banter seminars for “drummers, educators and wannabes.”  Anwar Marshall fronts October’s installment at Boot & Saddle, followed by Mike Greenfield of Lotus at Hard Rock Cafe in November and Chris Powell of Man Man at Boot & Saddle in December.  2015 will begin with an Open Drum meet-up at Boot & Saddle in January, where PDP members take the stage for an open-mic-like ten-minute presentation.  Check out a highlight reel of PDP’s MAke Music Philly event below and get details for the season’s full schedule here.
